First look photos are in for the West End run of Cake: The Marie Antoinette Playlist

The show played its first performance at the Lyric Theatre yesterday, and runs until 24 September 2023.

Directed by Drew McOnie (In the Heights; Jesus Chris Superstar) this modern retelling of France’s last queen – Marie Antoinette – combines a multi-genre pop score with R&B and rap and stars Zizi Strallen (Mary Poppins) and Renée Lamb (Six).

The ensemble is comprised of Ope Sowande (Moulin Rouge) and Elizabeth Fullalove (Starlight Express), also as ‘Jewellers’ with Travis Kerry (Hamilton), Dance Captain, and Jane Albertsen (Hamilton).
